THE PURPOSE OF THIS BLOG

There are many who would like updates and don't really want to bother family members. This is a place where the family can post updates so we can all keep track of prayer needs and the progress of the boys health.

(edited)

This blog is now set up so that all can post comments. Only family members can post direct posts, but all are free to comment on a particular post. You may also send any questions or comments to cffupdates@gmail.com and we will make sure your comment is posted if you so desire or question addressed.

Could you please post a link to any media article on the accident so that those of us outside the area can get more details on what happened?

Hi Dean,
I am trying to find a link for you. If you want to try to find it you could try wcia.com or wandtv.com or the tri county journal in douglas county, i think. Not having any success but will keep trying.
thanks,
jada

www.wandtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=8430698&nav=menu589_2_1

The story must have run yesterday and so is not showing up as current news. The sites also don't give me the option of searching yesterdays news, that i found.

Maybe somebody else will have a site to contribute. It may be that somebody who knows the details may want to post the details you are looking for. (preferably a family member)

Ok, Olen just brought in the Tri-County Journal and this was on the front page. I will type it verbatim. I realize that the link i sent before was not a "working" link. I tried to post it several times but it just won't post the entire link and won't show up as a link. oh well.

"Moultrie County teen killed, others injured in two-vehicle accident"

"One teen was killed and four people injured following a two-vehicle accident that occurred just before 6pm. Tuesday, June 3, 2008 in Moultrie county, at the unmarked intersection of county roads 1700 East and 2300 North.

Moultrie County Coroner Lynn Reed confirmed that 13-year-old Daniel Robinson of Atwood, son of Mike and Rhonda Robinson, suffered sever head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:39pm.

Also in the vehicle were Robinson's 16-year-old brother, Tommy; and Skyler and Sam Binion, sons of Karen and Galen Binion. Tommy Robinson was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur, where he was listed in stable condition. The Binion brothers were transported to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. No condition report was available at press time.

According to a press release from the Moultrie County Sheriff's Department, the vehicle with the four teens was southbound, while another vehicle with one occupant (not identified in the press release) was east-bound. That driver was also injured and taken to a hospital, though no other details were given.

Moultrie County Chief Deputy Chris Sims said the cause of the crash was still under investigation by that office. No other details were available at press time."

ps:there are mispelled names in the article, unfortunately.

Jada, do you think you could add some photos so those who have not met them can put a face with the names of those they are praying for?

There has been a discussion about that, but, until family decides it is time, we will leave them off. Katrina is mostly doing the health updates at this point and i am doing the other posts. We feel it might be a bit difficult for family members and loved ones to come here for updates and be faced with their pictures.

I am sure when it is not too touchy, family will post the pics.

thanks for your posts. i know you were moving yesterday and i tried to reach you a couple of times. Ryan was at your house when he found out but forgot to tell you all. Spinny spinny spin around brain. Glad you know now.

Katrina will post probably tomorrow that pictures will be soon coming as the family is able to get pictures on computers, etc. I know there are many asking for them and the family is now feeling ready to do that.

So many of us have gotten to know Rhonda and her family through the strength and wisdom of her posts for the Illinois Family Institute. I know that so many join me in praying for the love and comfort of Jesus Christ to surround the Robinson family. We give thanks for Daniel and the sureness of salvation. With Christ, all things are possible.
